Daniel's 1st Birthday!!

Daniel had his first birthday on August 15th. The year has gone by so fast! He was so excited to eat the cupcake. It's hard to tell by the pictures who is more excited - Daniel or Daddy!

He is such a good boy and loves his brothers so much. When they get home from school his eyes light up and he goes to wrestle them and give lots of hugs!

He was so funny, he wanted to have a drink from the straw. Sometimes he is really fast at getting a sip and some days he just doesn't have enough patience. When he took a drink this day he got the cutest smile.

I was helping my mom do some touch up painting in one of the bedrooms at her house and Daniel was playing with clean paintbrush. But - he finally touched a spot on the wall that was wet and it ended up on his face.

He felt a little guilty!!

One of Daniel's games is peek-a-boo. It is so cute. Sometimes he totally misses his eyes. He can hide for the longest time ever! Sometimes he'll hide for over 2 minutes while we keep saying "Where's Daniel?" It is so funny!

The other day Daniel's cousin, Kanela, came over and she had made a mess in her other clothes, so I had a onesie handy and they are both wearing a 12 month size. She is only 3 1/2 months old! She fills it out pretty well!

Updates from July!!

July was a busy month!! With a holiday - birthdays - moving - first day of school - and every day life!!

Jacob received his wolf for cub scouts just before his birthday. He was so excited.

For the 4th of July we went to Sam's brother Hyrum's friends backyard that faced the fireworks in Marana. It was a good view with lots of food and family!

This was Jacob's birthday. We had also moved that morning. It was a busy day! The kids had fun swimming and playing together.

We made him pose for this picture. he didn't really want to because he wanted the chocolate one! We made sure to trade him after the picture.

One of his presents that he got from his Aunts and Uncles was this bat a ball and glove. He was excited because later that night he got to go with them to go play a game.

This was the first day of school. Michael is in the 2nd grade now and is 7 years old! I can't believe it! This was the best picture I could do. They didn't want to pose at the school so I just took pictures of them in the car. Oh well!

Jacob is in the 4th grade and is now 9 years old.

This was a couple miles from our house. It had rained a few days earlier and the wash was still flowing pretty good! Just before the wash the road is paved, I guess they don't bother paving it all the way through because when the monsoon comes the road just washes away. There was a crazy family on the other side of the "river" that were letting their little kids play in the water, you never know what could come flowing down in the water and hurt you or take them with the current. The mother was dangling her baby in water. It made me sick!

This was at Grandma's house. We were hanging out here while the boys were at school. The neighbors behind my parents were building a new patio. Daniel sat here for about 10 minutes just watching the men hammer and build the patio. It was funny how observant he was!

Here is Sam at work on his next project. It is coming along nicely. I thought I would put proof that Sam really does do the painting! haha. It's almost done. I'll put the completed picture up when it's done.

We went to Peter Pipers for our nephew's birthday party. Daniel was playing with his first balloon and having a great time with his Tata.

He was pretty nervous about the carousel BUT

then he LOVED it! He went about 4 times and got upset when he had to get off. It was so cute.

Daniel was taking a nap the other day on the couch at my parents house, he woke up then sat up and fell asleep again! It was the cutest thing. I guess he wasn't ready to wake up yet!

Jacob was sharing a chocolate chip cookie with Daniel the other day and Daniel grabbed it from him and made a mess! This picture doesn't do it justice! There was chocolate everywhere!

Tucson's Children Museum

The boys and I went to the museum with Nana, Sam's mom, Melanie & her family and Haley this week. The kids had a lot of fun.

Sam's Newest Project

As you know, Sam is a very talented artist. Some of his previous work is also posted on our blog. Here is his latest project. It is a 4' by 6', it's pretty awesome to see hanging on the wall.

Sam did this painting for his Dad for Father's Day. We snuck into their home on the Saturday before and hung it so he would be extra surprised.

Some random stuff!

Daniel is so curious about little Kanela. She was crying and Daniel wasn't sure what to think. He was just leaning on her trying to help her. It was really cute.

I just love how excited babies get in the laundry basket. The simple things that make them happy!!

William, my brother, had extra tickets to Michael Buble so he took us with him. It was a lot of fun. Their seats were a little closer, so they have better pictures. I will post some when I get them.

Sam's sister, Melanie, came in from Bangkok with her family this month and she had her new baby boy Tima blessed. These are all of the Duron boys. ( The only one missing is Melanie's husband who was in NY and Manuel's son Seth.)

Michael is 7!!!!!

Michael had his birthday on the 24th of May and he is getting so big! I can't believe that he is already 7 years old. The years sure go by fast!
