First part of April

My boys!! Michael, Daniel, & Jacob. So handsome. So, Sam came home from work the Thursday before the Tour de Phoenix which was on the 5th and said that his brother Ray had paid to ride in the race and he wasn't going to be able to ride because of a toe injury. He didn't want it to go to waste so he told Sam to ride in his place. He asked me if he should do it and I said, "You can do it!" Everyone he asked told him the same thing, it was only (haha) 72 miles, and he hadn't been training, but once I told him he could do it, there was no backing out. He was nervous to say the least!

After much hard work and determination, here is Sam crossing the finish line. He was cramping and in a ton of pain, but he never gave up! He is not a quitter! I was so proud of him!!

They had him sit in the medical area after finishing because his legs were cramping so bad. They wanted to make sure that he was ok. He was fine, he didn't end up having much pain the following few days from the race because he ended up with a terrible tooth ache instead!! Of course it was over the weekend and he had 2 sleepless days and nights, so the dentist called in pain medication and an antibiotic, but the only thing that helped ease the pain was ice. I felt so so bad for him!

My cousin and aunt came down for the weekend to my parents house, here is her son Nate with Daniel. He really thought it was funny that Daniel sucks on Buzz's head. It was fun to spend some time with them!

More March Stuff

Civil War Reenactment

Sam went with the boys,his dad, and nephew Ryan to the civil war reenactment at Picacho Peak back in March. They had so much fun.

Sam's dad wanted to make sure that they weren't late and that it wouldn't be too crowded, so they were 1st in line!

This video is so funny! You can hear a cannon in the background, then Sam moves the camera to his dad and you'll see his response, then Michael's. It's priceless.

Betsy got married!!

So, I had to put at least one embarrassing picture from Betsy's bridal shower. Betsy is Sam's youngest sister and the last one to get married from his family to be married. We are all really happy for her. Her wedding date was on March 22, so yes I am still behind on my posts. haha

February is a big birthday month!

Daniel loves to drink out of a big cup - then he won't let it go. It's definetly his, you won't want to drink out of it any more!!

When the boys are on the ground first thing Daniel does is start to crawl all over them. Lately he's been attacking their faces and giving them kisses - it's so cute!

A couple more things!

I forgot about a couple things that the kids did this week that was so funny.

Jacob and Michael had woken up earlier than me one day and they heard Daniel waking up. I heard the boys come in my room and Jacob said, "Mom don't worry, go back to sleep - I'll take care of Daniel." The reason this is so funny is because he knew if I stayed in bed they wouldn't have to start school yet and they could continue playing. It made me laugh!

We went to the library on Wednesday last week and checked out some books. The following morning Michael had a really worried look on his face and he had his flashlight out searching all of the nooks and crannies in the house. I asked him what he was looking for. He was looking for a library book that he thought he had checked out that he couldn't find. He told me, "They are going to arrest me if I loose my library book!" Poor boy. We realized later that he didn't check it out after all. Pretty funny!!!

I have gotten behind!!

It's crazy how fast time flies!! It's been a month and a half since I was last here!! I really need to make blogging more of a weekly habit!

This was New Years Eve at Sam's parents house. It was his brother's (Hyrum) idea to have a "contest" on who could last the longest with no soda at the start of the new year, so we could all be more healthy. Needless to say, everyone seemed to get their share of soda that night. So far no one has had a soda yet!!

So, we were at the store and of course the diaper bag with the extra outfit was in the car. When you least expect it a huge blow out happens! But, he is so cute with no shirt on!
One of Sam's new dreams is this boat the "Sun Tracker". He's just getting comfortable! Sam was going through this phase when he wanted Michael's hair to keep growing. It was kinda getting out of control! Sam asked Michael for the comb to do his hair and this is what it ended up like! Michael said he looked like the bad Peter Parker from Spiderman 3. It was really funny he was in character for the picture. He is such a ham in front of the camera.
I am one year older!

Any time that Daniel see's one of our phones he wants them so bad. He is making sure that he has a good grip on it.

He is now sitting up. He can't sit himself up yet, but when we sit him up he scoots very slowly on his bootie - it's the cutest thing.

My Grandma came into town - this was her first time meeting Daniel.
Believe it or not - this was on Friday just past Tucson in Vail where my parents live. We are about 1 mile from my parents house.

This is a toy at Grandma's house. Buzz Lightyear's head goes right into Daniel's mouth! If he get's upset you know that this will help calm him down.
We got this hat when Jacob was a baby. Each of my boys have worn it. One of these times I will post a picture of each of them with the hat on. It is so cute!
